Am I too old to start Tang Soo Do?

No!  Tang Soo Do is great for anyone regardless of age or fitness level, whether you're a child, a teenager, or an adult.  You know your body better than anyone so while we encourage you to challenge yourself, we understand that not everyone is physically at the same place.  We will work with you to ensure that you get the training you need to achieve your martial arts goals!

Do I need to have previous martial arts experience?

No!  Many of our students (and instructors) started their martial arts training with no previous experience.  Dedication, hard work, and perseverance are what separates those who "used to do" a martial art and those who "do" a martial art.  

What are the benefits of Tang Soo Do?

Improving your physical fitness is a huge benefit of practicing Tang Soo Do.  You can also build your self-confidence as you see yourself improving.  Students will also learn discipline and self-control in addition to learning valuable self-defense skills.  Children and parents can often train together, strengthening the family bonds while having lots of fun in the process!

How long does it take to earn a Black Belt?

This can vary from student to student.  The journey to Black Belt is different for everyone and people very often train for different reasons.  What we CAN guarantee is that the skills you will learn on your martial arts journey are incredibly valuable not only in the studio but outside of it, as well, and our instructors are committed to helping you reach your goals.
